The Big Idea Project, Very Local (2023)

1 "Big Idea" each
As a co-branded streaming platform with market-specific programming, our messaging needed to resonate on a deeply local level. Understanding that optimal strategies could vary significantly across regions, we challenged our 25 station-partners to pitch two innovative marketing campaigns each that would capture the unique essence of their markets.
The proposals were diverse—ranging from large-scale streaming events and premiere parties to radio crossovers, breakthrough on-air campaigns, and original VOD programming. Collaborating closely with our partners, we played a pivotal role in selecting, advising and executing these "Big Ideas."
The immediate goal was active user growth. The long-term goal was to find the campaigns that 'clicked.' What were the slam dunks? Which ideas were scalable? Would tactics used over here, work over there?
The insights gained were invaluable, enabling us to develop data-driven marketing plans that could be implemented across our national network of stations.

communities and rediscovers local favorites.

Celebrate New Mexico, KOAT (2021)
A rich history as old as humanity,
written on 120,000 square miles of diverse, beautiful land.

Where a river named "Grande" meets even larger mountains and life grows beautifully in the desert. New Mexico is the 5rd largest state, and KOAT-TV in Albuquerque covers almost every mile. Each one prettier than the last.
When launching a year-long commitment to highlight the extraordinary people and places of the state, KOAT looked to showcase that mix of stories in their promotion. The nickname "Land of Enchantment" still rings true.
Covering thousands of miles, I drove to all four corners of the state and captured these frames to build a love letter to New Mexico.
